St Swithun's Festival of Arts 2022 round-up!

After months of planning and organising, in the blink of an eye the St Swithun's Festival of Arts 2022 has come and gone, but what a joy it was!

It was difficult to know whether people would even come to the concerts, especially the lunchtime ones, as it's been three years since we were last able to hold the Festival, but come they did and were treated to an exceptional display of talent and skill from all our performers, in a wide range of styles, all delivered with warmth and humour, and a pure love of music.

The artwork on display was quite stunning and thought-provoking, with many people unable to believe the young age of some of the artists.

Visitors to the church, including many who had never been before, were uplifted by the beauty of our building, enhanced to perfection by the floral displays, which were remarked upon at every event.

Kathryn Ferry's talk on the Arts and Crafts Design Movement in and around East Grinstead was a really fascinating treat, with well over 100 people in the church listening in rapt attention. For those who missed it, I know she has plans with the East Grinstead Museum to put together an exhibition, so watch this space!

More photographs of the exhibition and events will be uploaded to Facebook and the website soon.
