Bear Us In Mind
After the outbreak of war in Ukraine in early 2022, we all saw how the resulting conflict impacted tens of thousands of children through separation, loss or bereavement. Bear Us In Mind was launched to provide early intervention to support those children and the adults in their lives.
Bear Us in Mind supports Ukranian children that have been displaced by the war in Ukraine, with a toolkit including teddies, stones and sunflower seeds.
Whether you’re a parent, part of a host family or a supporting adult from the child’s school or local community, Bear Us In Mind is designed to help you be a compassionate and confident thinking partner for a child when it’s most needed.
There are a few toolkits available from the library service, although these are for the whole of West Sussex. However, if you know of any parents, host families, or a supporting adult from a child’s school or local community that would benefit from such a pack to help a child, please contact Robin Sweet who will advise what the next step will be:
