Last October we were thrilled to be invited to join the members of the East Grinstead Community Bonfire and Mayor Fraser Visser to lead a short service at the war memorial before the torch lit procession. The service included a minute's silence as an Act of Remembrance and it was an honour to be a part of the event.

The money raised from the street collection was donated to the Greenaway Foundation and Jigsaw SE, as well as a donation to our own church to say thank you for our support.

We would like to thank the chairman of the East Grinstead Community Bonfire, Graham Jones, for his kind donation to St Swithun's PCC.

Plans are already underway for an even bigger and better event this year, so make sure you add the Saturday 19th October to your calendars!
